The message of survival and hope will soon come to the Upstate of South Carolina. A two and a half acre tract of land in downtown Greenville will be home to the beautiful Cancer Survivors Garden of the Upstate. The property sits between the Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, the West End Market, and the newly renovated Falls Park.
Architects, gardeners, artists and patients have designed a garden that will comfort and inspire. The topography of the site lends itself to winding walking trails and secluded meditation gardens. Suspended above these areas will be a cantilevered pathway leading to a 60-foot structure that is part artwork and part shelter, creating a gathering place for the community.
